About these rules
You are responsible for knowing these rules. If you break them, you are subject to punishment. Saying, "I didn't know about them" only demonstrates your failure to be informed. You will still be punished.
Note: These are the rules that apply to the entire forum; some sub-forums may have addition rules. Remain informed.

General Rules:
CAPSLOCK is supposed to be used to emphasize a point. If you use it constantly, it is similar to screaming in real life. Use your indoor voice. This applies to posts and thread titles.

Definition of Derailing: discussing something not related to the thread. In short, being off topic of the thread. Don't do this.

This is a list of the staff. These people have power, get to know them.

If you have a problem with a moderator, PM that moderator or an Administrator (DeMoN-FoRcE)

If you have a problem with the general moderation, make a thread in "Forum Feedback & Suggestions."

Rules of the Road: This is a "how-to" on some of these mentioned topics. This is important. It takes less than 5 minutes.

When a warning is issued, warning 'points' are added to your account based on the offense. Offenses are separated into four categories:

Minor offenses: (1 warning point)

Spamming.
Definition of Spam: Stupid, Pointless, Annoying Message.
Alternative definition: multitude of posts in a short period of time; use the "Edit" button. To sum up, don't make duplicate or stupid posts. We reserve the right to delete any posts.

Writing thread titles in CAPS.

Promoting other sites.

Impersonating someone else.

Mild cases of flaming.

Asking about release dates. You can read the patch notes or be patience and sit tight.
Intermediate offenses: (2 warning points)

Ignoring or blatantly disregarding staff instructions.

Flaming.
Definition of flaming: Making comments designed to anger your target, so they retaliate.

Posting links to warez.
Definition of warez: "A term used by software pirates use to describe a cracked game or application" (Dictionary.com)
Major offenses: (4 warning points)

Harassment of a forum member by PM.

Flaming Staff.

Insults aimed at religion, nation, race (or other such subjects).

Posting content which is X-Rated, illegal, or offensive.

Sharing account access with a banned/suspended member.
Severe offenses: (instant ban)

Evading a suspension/ban by creating a new account.

Punishment: (Warnings are cumulative)
Your warning bar is how many points you have. Once you hit 14 points, not 100, you will be banned.

1-5 : Warning + PM
6-7 : 1 Day suspension
8-9 : 3 Day Suspension
10-11 : 1 Week Suspension
12-13 : 3 Week Suspension
14 : Ban

Avatars and Signatures:
Limits; default unit is pixel.
Avatars: 100x100, 80KB max.
Signatures: 500x100, 80KB max

Example:

You are allowed one line of text in addition to the height limit of 100 pixels. The signature limit includes any text past the first line.

Both avatars and signatures WILL be removed if they do not meet the parameters.

- If someone flames you, ignore them. Think of it like being bullied. Just walk away.

Offensive Content:
- Insults aimed at religion, nation, race (or other such subjects) are not allowed.
- Content which is X-Rated, illegal, or offensive is not allowed.

Hacks and warez:
- Definition of warez: "A term used by software pirates use to describe a cracked game or application" (Dictionary.com)
- Providing or requesting information about warez is strictly forbidden on the forums and may result in an immediate ban.
- Hacks will be treated as warez. Do. Not. Do. This.

Avatars and Signatures:

What happens if I break the rules?
Things that could happen (mix and match, any combination of these can happen):
- You get a warning.
- Your post gets edited.
- Your post gets deleted.
- You get temporarily banned. Lasts up to a few days.
- You get permanently banned. If you re-register, you will be banned again. If you start a thread, it will be locked and archived.
